This coffee collected in the Caldas region (Colombia) has been decaffeinated with a sugar cane distillate, ethyl acetate, a selective solvent that is present in nature and serves to trap caffeine when green coffee is soaked in. With this process, more than 97% of the caffeine is extracted without using chemicals.
